A native of Buffalo, NY, Scott attended the University of Buffalo and later followed his passion of skiing the Rockies to Colorado where he pursued his studies at The University of Colorado in Boulder. In 1989, Scott relocated to Atlanta to continue his career in commercial real estate asset management and worked with banks, life insurance companies and private investors managing commercial office buildings. Ten years later ”after winning the coveted TOBY (The Outstanding Building of the Year) International award multiple years “ Scott established his mortgage company, Family Mortgage of Georgia, based on a desire to assist people in one of the biggest investment decisions of their lives. To further enhance his knowledge, he achieved the distinguished CCIM designation (Certified Commercial Investment Manager); and later the CRMS designation (Certified Residential Mortgage Specialist) from the National Association of Mortgage Brokers.
Between 2003 and 2012, Scott received 3 Diamond Awards from the Mortgage Bankers Association, and was consistently listed in the top five Top Gun Mortgage Loan Originators in the State of Georgia by The Georgia Association of Mortgage Brokers; Since 2009, he has been listed in the Scotsman Guide Top Originators in the U.S., and was recently recognized by Mortgage Executive Magazine as one of the Top 1% Mortgage Originators in America.
Known for his "no-nonsense" approach to the mortgage loan process, Scott joined LeaderOne Financial Corporation in 2012 as Partner and Vice President of Production in Georgia, and he continues to utilize his 15 years of experience and expertise to guide Homeowners through numerous mortgage options to reach the exact combination that complements their overall financial plan. As a result, he has created a strong and supportive client base of over 3.000 homeowners who continue to seek his expert guidance on the mortgage process and the advantages of homeownership.
