As a Certified Divorce Lending Professional, (CDLP®), I focus my practice on helping divorcing homeowners make a more informed decision regarding their home equity solutions and the divorce team identify any potential conflicts between the divorce settlement, the mortgage, and the real property.
Creating generational wealth through mortgage financing has been the focus of my career for more than 25 years.
While I have been in lending long enough now to be excited about financing first homes for children of past clients who I financed their first home, I have also, unfortunately, been at this long enough to see the financial effects of divorce on some of those clients. Having gone through a divorce myself, I would never wish that experience on any family. What I have found though;in the event of a divorce the benefit of the financial expertise of a Certified Divorce Lending Profession (CDLP®) cannot be underestimated. Be it working with both spouses during the mediation process or working for one or the other in litigation, the generational wealth of the family does not need to be sacrificed.
Over the years I have established myself as a trusted advisor to clients and colleagues. As a Financial Professional I can share my understanding of the mortgage market and my knowledge of industry trends and regulatory changes to work with Family Law Attorneys, Mediators, Financial Planners and Accountants as a collaborative team to navigate complex situations and find solutions that allow clients to financially succeed after divorce.
