As a Certified Divorce Lending Professional, (CDLP®), I focus my practice on helping divorcing homeowners make a more informed decision regarding their home equity solutions and the divorce team identify any potential conflicts between the divorce settlement, the mortgage, and the real property.
As a loan officer since 1996 with a focus on divorce planning since 2007, it has been a pleasure to assist many families to develop & implement mortgage strategies that bring hope and an eye for the future during a very stressful, emotional time. Whether you will be doing a Home Equity Buy-Out to acquire your soon-to-be ex-spouse’s ownership or purchasing a new home once the divorce is settled, early-stage review and strategy planning is an important part of the outcome of your divorce. Most likely, your home and any other real estate are your largest assets. A complete evaluation of credit, qualifying income, assets, etc. is recommended. Most individuals do not know how to proceed and that some of the traditional rules of the mortgage industry can be different for a divorce. There have been many times when out-of-the-box thinking was required to provide solutions for both parties.
I work with divorcing homeowners and their professional divorce teams every day. Let’s begin with a conversation because you have a story with circumstances unique to you! Please feel free to reach out to me to get started.
