As a Certified Divorce Lending Professional, (CDLP®), I focus my practice on helping divorcing homeowners make a more informed decision regarding their home equity solutions and the divorce team identify any potential conflicts between the divorce settlement, the mortgage, and the real property.
I have assisted many clients who have faced the challenge of mortgage financing after divorce.
Among some of these challenges:
- Income vs. qualified income
- Contingent Liabilities
- Equity buyouts
Prior to becoming a Mortgage Advisor, I was an Engineer for 8 years. When I left engineering to go into the mortgage industry, I was amazed how the mortgage industry took something as simple as lending money and made it extremely complicated. I have always taken a very simplistic approach while helping thousands of families with their mortgage finance options.
