As a Certified Divorce Lending Professional, (CDLP®), I focus my practice on helping divorcing homeowners make a more informed decision regarding their home equity solutions and the divorce team identify any potential conflicts between the divorce settlement, the mortgage, and the real property.
Stephanie Medlock is a Mortgage Strategist and Branch Manager with Benchmark Mortgage. Both her personal production team and her office rank among the elite in the nation that has resulted in originating over $350 million a year and over 1,300 loans each year and being awarded the number 1 branch in the US multiple years in her 13-year career with Benchmark.
Their success is a result of building relationships with their clients and referral partners and almost 100% of their business comes from referral only. Their ability to take each person’s unique situation and customize a loan strategy that meets each family’s needs and circumstances is what makes them different. Not everyone’s situation is the same so working with an experienced team allows you to take a deep look into each person’s situation. Stephanie is very hands on with her clients but the extra bonus is her talented, hands on team. The majority of her team has worked for her and her husband for their branch on average for over 15 years. They assist us in gathering documents, walking you through anything that is needed to help make the loan process as stress free as possible. Stephanie graduated from the University of Alabama with a Business degree in Accounting. She has worked in accounting, auditing, and sales before she landed her role as Branch Manager for Benchmark in 2009. She has only worked for two mortgage companies over her 20 plus year career as a loan officer. Stephanie lives in Mt Pleasant with her husband Roger and their two sons. In her free time, they spend time with their family and friends offshore fishing, boating, or spending time at their lake house on Lake Murray. Stephanie is also a host on the Emmy nominated show, The American Dream TV. She is a certified Dave Ramsey Coach and the recipient in 2021 of Benchmark’s Blue Heart award that is focused on the heart to serve others, especially her Veteran Community.
As a Mortgage Lender at Benchmark Mortgage, she is an expert at Conventional, FHA, Jumbo, USDA and VA loans. They work mostly throughout Charleston, Beaufort, Berkeley, and Dorchester Counties but she is also licensed in NC, FL, AL, GA, VA and NJ. They have a lot of clients moving from all over the country here to Charleston and she understands working with a local lender has extremely strong benefits.
