As a Certified Divorce Lending Professional, (CDLP®), I focus my practice on helping divorcing homeowners make a more informed decision regarding their home equity solutions and the divorce team identify any potential conflicts between the divorce settlement, the mortgage, and the real property.
I have been a Mortgage Lender since 1990 in the Northern Virginia Marketplace, and have enjoyed working with many of my clients over and over again, as their life needs change. Mortgages are not just about the INTEREST RATE, but how to make it work for a client's changing needs. My expertise goes beyond the mortgage as I try to help clients understand more complex theories of financial planning and how to make the mortgage work for them well into retirement. Many clients experience Life changes which led me to this next step of becoming a Certified Divorce Lending Professional. All too often poor advice is provided during the Divorce process because lawyers don't always understand how some of their stipulations can affect both separating parties with their future mortgage financing needs. I try to help clients obtain the very best mortgage financing available, and guiding them through the process so they can proceed with understanding and confidence. Staying on top of new mortgage products, and introducing them to buyers to help them gain homeownership is enjoyment, not work!
