As a Certified Divorce Lending Professional, (CDLP™), I focus my practice on helping divorcing homeowners make a more informed decision regarding their home equity solutions and the divorce team identify any potential conflicts between the divorce settlement, the mortgage, and the real property.

I spent the first decade of my career as a financial planner where I acted as a fiduciary managing over $600 million dollars for high-net-worth clients. That experience transitioned to mortgage planning in 2009 where my team and I focus on helping families make informed decisions about their home equity solutions when buying or separating real property.

The intersection between divorce law, tax law, real estate and mortgage planning should not be ignored. Because of the tremendous stress that typically comes during the ending of a marriage, too many people rush through this very important stage and the Marital Settlement Agreement is not always set up to allow both parties to achieve their housing goals post-divorce.
